Had a disk pack of 11 hard drive platters spinning at 10,000 rpm on compressed air. 130 lbs psi. Failed a part though…
Was trying to copy part of the stator housing (to cast it in Aluminum) and mixed the latex wrong. Not enough catalyst. Whups- now my part is immersed in a sticky rubber goo that won't harden. (Empty CD spools make excellent molds for marine epoxy resin to harden and turn blanks on a lathe)
The new dish09 is ready for lots of summer experiments.
Bringing the backyard foundry back online with a new improved front door for shoveling the charcoal through.
