Pump Prices Climb

Here we are in the second half of 2006, and from my point of view the energy situation has not taken a turn for the better.

We continue to see record highs at the gas pumps, with federal and state governments refusing to budge on their fuel tax extortion schemes and, at the same time, refusing to do their jobs in controlling arrogant industry. Isn't it time to stick it to the cartel? As long as the cattle continue to pay extortion and blackmail, the criminals will continue their evil deeds.

90-day Introductory Offer: Experimenter's 4.5" DIY Tesla Turbine Project CD

This is a big year for those of us who have taken a step in the energy independence direction. Today - July 4th, 2006 - we declare our independence from the cartel! And may the Bush gang rot in hell with their republican industrialists!

Each of us has the power to determine our own destinies -- if we get off our lazy bones and do something about the situation.

For our efforts we are:

  1. Offering a do-it-yourself turbine builder's CD - beginning today
  2. Holding an open house energy workshop during the entire month of August.

Collectively, the global "grassroots" (masses) have the power to change the world from the hell hole we see around us. When Jesus was around, he condemned the rich and demanded that they share what they had stolen with those who had need. Since then, the world has simply refined its methods of extortion and excess.

By working together on worldwide implementation of free energy systems, we can take back control of our work, our wages, and our destinies. It all starts with something as simple as a small alternative power device or system.

To make that possible we are now offering a CD (compact disc) packed full of 3D models, drawings, and Phoenix Turbine Builders Club articles - based on our 4.5" Experimenter's Tesla Turbine.

I consider this to be the best DIY turbine project CD ever. I also believe that this is a "must have" source of information not only for our club members, but for all alternative energy buffs all around the world.

For those of you who have taken the bold step to join our club and stand up & be counted, we have a special 90-day introductory offer. - Those who have not joined with us will pay more all the way around.

If this first CD is a success, it will inspire us to continue on to fully develop technologies we've touched on in the past -- such as solar and waste oil boiler systems. But it's up to you, our New Power, New Energy partners. We depend on your feedback and support to make the next steps possible. If you want to see more in the future, buy into our freedom CD technology today.

Help Wanted: PTBC Forum Manager

Now on to a couple of other subjects. You're probably aware that we've had regular problems with spam on the forum, and we've had to temporarily shut it down until we can come up with an anti-spam solution. If any of our members would like to take over spam management on the new forum, let us know. We would like to open it up again as soon as possible.

4.5" Experimenter's Tesla Turbine - Nozzles, Air/Oil Fittings, Preload vs. Oscillation, Main Shaft Improvement

On the technical side of things, we are going to conclude our study of the 4.5" Experimenter's Tesla Turbine by showing a few simple machining procedures that drastically improve turbine performance. (All of these improvements have been incorporated into the new CD.)

To start out, we have moved from steel nozzles to brass alloy nozzles. Photos 1 and 2 show entrance and exit shots of two styles of nozzles.

They both have an entrance cone, but only the steel nozzle has an exit cone; the brass nozzle exits with a 1/8-inch bore hole - the gas expanding inside the disk pack.

Oddly enough the brass nozzle works better -- still lots more experimenting on nozzle design in the future.

Photo 3 shows a complete set of air and oil fittings. To the right are the air seal jets; the original oil jet is in the center, the improved oil jet top left, and the oil return bottom left. Photo 3
The bearing preload cover plate is in Photo 4 showing the three (3) preload set screws toward the center. These allow us to exert more preload spring tension on the bearings, reducing bearing oscillations and increasing bearing life.

The trick is to balance preload against oscillation -- too much spring pressure or too much oscillation drastically reduces bearing life. Fine tuning is left to the experimenter.

Photo 4
The next photo - Photo 5 - shows our main shaft with two (2) 0.051-inch deep grooves cut, and "O rings" snapped into these grooves, located at the (2) bearing inner race centers.

The O rings create enough flexible interference between the bearing and the shaft to center the bearing and eliminate shaft play.

This PNGinc proprietary technique also allows us to easily replace the bearings without special tools/presses.

Photo 5
The last photo shows our brass prototype for designing the shaft O ring slots; above that is a complete shaft assembly - except for the hot rotor. Photo 6

That about concludes our study of the 4.5" Experimenter's Tesla Turbine project.

Next time we'll talk about our Open House and all of the interesting people who come up here to discuss the future of power, energy, fuels and vehicles for the 21st century. If you have time in August, come visit us in Northern Michigan and bring your turbine with you if you need any of these improvements -- machined free of charge by yours truly - the mad professor.

And remember, order your CD today to take advantage of our special introductory price for club members!
